Actor Gene Hackman Makes RARE Appearance Nearly Two Decades After Retiring From Acting


Former actor and movie star Gene Hackman has been spotted in public for the first time in years.

The 93-year-old ‘Bonnie And Clyde’ and ‘Unforgiven’ star was seen shopping for coffee and snacks in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Sunday.

According to the reports, Gene was pictured at a local parking lot after stopping by Wendy’s drive-thru to pick up some food.

In pictures taken by the photographers, the legendary actor and two-time Oscar winner was also seen holding a cup of coffee and a pack of snacks after stopping at a gas station to fuel up and grab some supplies.

Hackman added over one hundred acting credits to his name throughout his decades-long career and is best known for his early work in the likes of The Poseidon Adventure (1972), The Conversation (1974), Superman: The Movie (1978), and many more.

Following his rise in the 70s, Hackman remained active in the film industry for two more decades and went on to appear in movies such as Reds (1981), Under Fire (1983), Hoosiers (1986), No Way Out (1987), Unforgiven (1992), The Firm (1993), Crimson Tide (1995), Absolute Power (1997), Enemy Of The State (1998), Behind Enemy Lines (2001), Heist (2001), Runaway Jury (2003), and more.point 432 | 1

Throughout his career, Gene won two Oscars for Best Actor in The French Connection and Best Supporting Actor in Unforgiven.

His last movie role was in the 2004 comedy film Welcome To Mooseport in which he appeared alongside Christine Baranski and Ray Romano.

Though Hackman retired from acting after that, he stayed active in the entertainment industry by narrating two documentaries – The Unknown Flag Raiser of Iwo Jima (2016) and We, The Marines (2017) – more than a decade later.
