Dawson’s Creek actor Obi Ndefo has reportedly died at the age of 51.
According to reports from local media outlets, the news comes five years after he lost both of his legs in a horrific crash as confirmed by his sister.
The cause of the star’s death is yet to be known but his sister and co-stars did confirm his sudden passing away in a heartfelt message on social media followed by many tributes.
His sister spoke about being so heartbroken at the sudden loss of her younger brother’s death but is glad he’s at peace. This was published on Facebook but no other details were provided regarding his cause of death.
The star who is also a graduate of Yale appeared in Dawson’s Creek between the years 1998 and 2002 where he worked alongside actress Katie Holmes’ character.
Holmes was one of the first to pay tribute and honor the star after his death.
The actor also featured in episodes of The West Wing, NYPD Blue, Crossing Jordan, and The District. He’s also the founder of the LA-based non-profit company Arts Alliance for Humanity. This was an organization that worked to carry out arts education programs in the community.
