Adele was found unable to move after collapsing backstage during one of her recent concerts.
The singer revealed that one night during her Las Vegas residency ended abruptly after she had suffered a sciatica attack resulting in severe muscle pain and numbness, The Sun reported.
After collapsing to the floor, Adele was allegedly found by one of her staff who called for help and picked the singer off the floor.
“They picked my whole body up off the floor,” she said.
Due to her condition, Adele was forced to take a break from her show. “I am going to sit down and rest my sciatica,” she said.
According to the reports, the break lasted for a whole month, whereas the singer just recently came back to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace to resume her shows.
Earlier this year, Adele revealed that she had been hitting the gym frequently in hopes of countering her sciatica symptoms and regaining control of her body.
While the condition seemed to be contained at one point, the singer soon suffered another setback.
“Early on this year I started bragging about my sciatica, I wasn’t feeling it anymore. Then God brought it back,” she admitted. She also said the pain in her legs often causes her to waddle.
The news comes after the Someone Like You hitmaker opened up about her drastic weight loss and claimed she feels better in her new body.
“I’m definitely really happy now… I’m more agile because I can now move more, because of my back. I got my core strong,” she said.
“I’ve been in pain with my back for, like, half of my life, really. It flares up, normally due to stress or from a stupid bit of posture. But where I got my tummy strong, down at the bottom, which I never had before, my back don’t play up as much. It means I can do more, I can run around with my kid a little bit more.”
