You can say whatever you may about the ongoing explosive Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial but one thing is for sure- you can’t blame the age gap.
Age is certainly just a number for some while it means the world to others. Keeping that notion in mind, we’re taking into consideration the defamation trial between a famous actor and actress that has the world glued to their screens.
So far, we saw plenty of witnesses testify, evidence is brought up, and now we’re seeing Johnny Depp and Amber Heard testify against one another too on the witness stand.
The drama is extraordinary and definitely not something that too many people had bargained for because we may love them on screen but definitely not off the screen.
In case you weren’t already aware, the age gap between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is 22 years. And there have been plenty of questions raised by the media in regards to this, well before the case even came into play.
Now, as more and more days go by and people start to try and make sense of this perplexing relationship and the many problems that it brings along with it, we’re confused because let’s face it, we’ve got plenty of questions on our minds too. However, is it fair to judge a couple based simply on that age difference?
Gossip columns and even podcasts are now talking about it, but how fair is it really? But critics claim that there are so many Hollywood divorces that take place and they’re not always related to couples with age gaps so why blame it here.
Similarly, Depp has mentioned in the past how Amber Heard had no issues in the past and how it was Heard who claims to have mentored her former husband.
Hence, it’s clear that the media’s eye needs to learn to focus on the actual case and arguments being heard, instead of playing the blame game because mixed-age love is a genre that we’re so used to seeing and hence can’t be cited as a big deal.
