At Least 70 Passengers & ALL Crew Members Stricken With Norovirus After Month-Long Journey


A terrifying incident was shared recently that involved at least 70 individuals getting infected with the norovirus while aboard a cruise ship.

The victims included all the passengers and crew members who were supposed to be on a month-long journey in the sea that began in Singapore and would continue to Los Angeles. However, things came to a shocking halt when they were stricken with the virus after an outbreak arose through the giant cruise liner.

Out of the staggering 1822 passengers aboard the ship called Coral Princess, 55 got the misery causing illness and 15 out of the 907 crew also got very sick as per recent stats published by the CDC.

Most of these individuals were suffering from issues like diarrhea and vomiting, the report adds.

The ship first set sail on October 17 and since then, it has now adopted a very stringent cleaning protocol with serious disinfection practices as per the plan to combat the serious infection issue.

The federal agency states that it needs ships to inform them about such outbreaks when more than 3% of the guest list and crew members experience symptoms as per media reports from Cruise Hive.

This giant vessel is meant to carry 3000 passengers and this includes both crew and guests. It’s 203 feet tall and stands as high as a 20-story building with 16 decks, and 1000 guest cabins, and has a weight of more than 91k tons.
