The Blue Origin first all-female flight crew just went to space and is now back.
The flight NS-31 took off from the west of Texas on Monday in what was outlined as the most historic trip set.
It lasted nearly eight minutes, and the round trip expedition went to the edge of space before promptly returning as the women inside were seen shouting with excitement from inside the New Shepard rocket.
The group featured six people, including former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe. Other than that, it had bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen on board and film producer Kerianne Flynn as well.
Among the onlookers included Katy Perry’s daughter Daisy, whom she shares with Orlando Bloom, as well as Oprah Winfrey, who was there to cheer her friend Gayle King on.
Others included the likes of Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian, not to mention Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
The team was able to sit down with Elle magazine before the trip and shared their nerves and excitement for the journey. King mentioned how she had a lot of excitement but was so happy and excited about this chance.
