Lauren protectively picks up Max but the angry pit bull just doesn’t know when to give up. She screams and asks for help in her neighborhood as she struggles to keep the pit bull away from her terrified white pooch.

That’s when Amazon driver Stephanie Lontz, who was delivering packages in the suburban Las Vegas neighborhood, jump in action as she stepped in between Lauren, her dog, and the bloodthirsty angry pitbull.

Lontz gives the teen and Max enough time for them to safely go and hide in their house as she tries to make the wall between the angry dog, going side by side just to make a gap between the two.

When Lauren and her dog finally got to safety, the brave superhero Lontz exits the premises and yelled: “No, no, no, no! You’re a bad dog!”

Michael, Lauren’s real estate dad, was sitting in his car while working when he saw the wild incident unfold on his cellphone via the Ring camera. Michael said: “As a dad you know, panic mode, I’m half an hour away from the house, literally, it’s like I’m watching a football game and screaming at it. I’m like, get in the house! Get in the house!”

The Amazon worker was making her usual rounds at the time, ahead of a busy Christmas period for the company and its workforce. However, Mrs. Lontz didn’t hesitate to intervene when she saw the attack taking place.

Lauren says she has some scratches from the terrifying encounter, but is otherwise ok, as is her dog. She thanked Lontz over a video chat saying: “I’m so happy that you’re getting recognized for the hero that you are.”

Lontz said: “I’m just happy I was there, I’m happy to see you guys smiling and happy and nobody was hurt.”

“I would have been lost without any help; I had no clue what I was going to do. I didn’t know if I was going to get hurt and someone risking their life like that is a really big thing and means a lot to me,” she added.

Lontz said: “I was just glad she could assist. The screams made me think of my own child, I would only hope someone would jump in and help her if she was in a similar situation. I wouldn’t even think it’s motherly, it’s just a human thing to do.”

She also explained that being an Amazon driver can often involve more than making deliveries. She said: “Two days prior I had been bit by a dog, two days before I had saved a baby that wasn’t even 2 years old get locked in a house.”

“I mean, we really go through a lot, and we’re there when other people aren’t, and sometimes it’s not even recognized. I have a co-worker who put out a fire the other day. It’s just we’re really there when sometimes nobody’s there,” Lontz added.

Amazon and the 702 logistics, a local courier company on the contract showed their appreciation by giving Lontz a reward of 4 tickets for her family to attend a local Vegas Christmas attraction. It also added that they were never surprised when they hear the news because Lontz was November’s employee of the month.

An Amazon representative told The Sun: “We saw that video and honestly, that was something that I never seen before and just appreciate your service to Amazon and really to your company.”

The pit bull’s motive to attack Lauren and her dog remains unclear, but it appears that the dog was either a lost pet or a stray. Soon after the incident, the local animal control department picked up the dog to avoid future conflicts.
