Ashley Olsen has reportedly become a mother after welcoming her first child with husband Louis Eisner earlier this year.
The 37-year-old actress and designer gave birth to a baby boy in New York City a few months ago, TMZ reported.
The publication also revealed that the child’s name is Otto and that he joined Eisner and Olsen shortly after their marriage in December.
While the couple definitely kept the pregnancy and the birth of their son under wraps, sources have suggested that both parties are overjoyed by the news and the new addition to the family.
“Ashley and Louis welcomed their son months ago and are thrilled to be parents,” an insider told Us Weekly.
For most of their time together, the celebrity duo kept to themselves and out of the public eye. On a few occasions, however, they were spotted enjoying each other’s presence while strolling through the Big Apple.
The good news comes less than a year after Ashley and Louis tied the knot in an intimate ceremony attended by some fifty people.
It is believed that the wedding came some three years after their engagement and five years after they became romantically involved.
Previously, in a rare interview, Ashley and her twin sister, Mary-Kate Olsen, admitted that they were raised to be “discreet people” which is why they remain private about their personal lives for most of the time.
Ashley also told iD that she loves working with her sibling on overseeing each other’s labels even decades after the child stars left the television.
“We like working together and we like having that dialogue. Our instincts are kind of the same. But I think what’s great is that we have each other to lean on. And managing design is one thing and then also running the business side is another and I think you have a lot of decisions to make,” the 37-year-old said.
“I mean, when you put those two things together, there’s a lot of decisions to make on a daily basis, so I think we feel fortunate that we can have that dialogue and divide and conquer a bit.”
