A girl who was born in prison in the state of Texas is now entering the spotlight after being described as going to Harvard in the fall.
The young girl is all grown up and despite leading a troublesome life where her mom was behind bars and her dad raising her up alone, she never let that come in between her dreams and aspirations.
The young girl revealed how she was more ecstatic than ever to make her way to the world’s greatest educational institution. She added how it was nothing less than a dream come true.
“I was never judged on my family background or details. I was judged based on my talent and it’s the most beautiful feeling in the world”- she continued to add.
When her mother was convicted of a crime, she happened to be pregnant with her. Therefore, she was sent to prison despite her condition and little did anyone know that she would be forced to be delivered inside the prison.
But after the delivery, the mother had to stay and finish her sentence while this young girl would live with her dad who would need to raise her alone as a single parent.
18-year-old Sky Castner says that life is great and she’s so grateful and blessed to have the opportunity to live her dreams and work hard to achieve her goals. She is all set to graduate third in her class from high school and then will attend Harvard in the fall.
As far as her success is concerned, she says that she’s super grateful for her mentor who not only guided her but makes her understand that the sky is the limit and that despite her rough beginnings, she can do anything and everything that she puts her mind toward.
