Italian investigators are trying to dig down deep and figure out what could have gone wrong aboard the giant superyacht Bayesian that sank along the coast of Italy after capsizing.
While weather is certainly a major factor that is said to have resulted in the devastating aftermath, new details from the investigations are pointing fingers at other clues.
Italian authorities blamed the incident on the weather, adding how the tornado contributed to the disaster and the vessel sinking in minutes as shown in haunting CCTV footage.
‘It was just that the vessel was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It should have never been there – the authorities explained.
There are still six people missing and those include the boss of Morgan Stanley and the British tech tycoon Mike Lynch himself who funded the event to celebrate his acquittal from a fraud case.
When the vessel was found, it was lying deep in the waters, making the rescue mission for divers another major challenge.
But amid all the chaos is news about how open portholes could have contributed to the incident.
These were hatches left open by crew members and that led to the dramatic sinking incident. For now, nothing can be confirmed but loved ones are waiting for answers and news about the victims.
