NFL superstar Damar Hamlin is awake and holding hands, just days after he suffered from a mighty cardiac arrest on the field.

The news comes after the player’s agent informed media outlet CNN about the latest health updates.

The star’s Bills teammate was also quick to give the world and it’s eagerly awaiting fans some news on his friend on the field and off of it. Kaiir Elam says physicians revealed more details about how his friend was improving and they were hopeful about a great recovery that would certainly take more time.

Nevertheless, the signs so far are great, they mentioned and fans felt a sigh of relief because now, his eyes are opened and he’s entered a safe zone.

Physicians gave more details on how the biggest danger after a cardiac arrest of this magnitude is linked to the neurological system. And in this case, it was certainly worrisome when the news about him collapsing on the field broke out.

But now, it’s confirmed how the Buffalo Bills’ safety has his responses intact and that’s great news.

Other than that, doctors have gone on to mention how his lungs are doing great as well and he was able to grip the hands of his loved ones, providing them with a great response and assurance that he was alright.

So many fans lined up outside the star’s hospital to wish him well and light up candles for prayers regarding his health. His family has since then thanked all who took part.

For now, he is still in the process of observation and is being monitored at the Cincinnati Hospital. “Our boy is better, doing good, and showing more signs of improvement”- Kaiir Elam explained in a recent post on Twitter.
