EU leaders are showing support for a mega $53B Arab backed plan for recovery and reconstruction in Gaza that was rejected in the past by America and Israel.
The foreign ministers of France, UK, Italy, and Germany shared a joint statement on this front, including how they show full support for the new welcome plan drawn out by Egypt.
This will be adopted by Arab leaders during the emergency summit on Tuesday, sources shared.
The plan displays a more realistic path to building Gaza and promises that if and when implemented, it would be a swift and sustainable improvement of the poor living conditions for all Palestinians inside Gaza.
This is the same plan that was shared in the past, but both the US and Israel rejected it. Now, the fact that the EU leaders are uniting with the Arab world is showing a new twist in the matter.
Europe says they are clear that Hamas will neither govern nor be a threat to Israel any longer. Therefore, this plan is calling for the development of a committee that would briefly oversee humanitarian aid and manage the whole strip’s affairs under the supervision of the Palestinian Authority.
