A man from Indiana was reportedly found dead inside a tanning at the Planet Fitness gym.
According to reports from local media outlets, he was last seen entering the latest establishment three days before his death.
The victim was identified as 39-year-old Derek Sink who was present there for four hours. He entered right after the gym opened doors on Monday morning as reported by the Indianapolis Star.
The victim’s family reported him missing on Sunday and that’s when they informed him about how he loved getting into the gym’s tanning bed. His remains were located three days after he entered the premises.
The customer who goes by the name Elizabeth Len explained how there was a very rancid odor that could be smelt from a distance when the body was discovered.
The tanning bed has a door and the client revealed how it was beyond harrowing to know that the bed was shut for three days and yet no one found that incident to be strange.
Derek’s family members explained to the cops how he suffered from drug-related problems and that even a needle was found in the facility where he used to visit often.
The victim’s ankle monitor is what assisted cops locate his remains.
