Jennifer Lopez has listed down the reason for her divorce in the recent filing that was made public to fans.
The singer listed irreconcilable differences as the main reason behind her split from superstar actor Ben Affleck, after being married for just two years.
The Jenny from the Block hitmaker submitted the divorce papers on the second anniversary of the event that was held in Georgia. She wrote down their separation date as April 26th.
Many slammed the singer for choosing her wedding anniversary date as the date of her divorce filing but insiders revealed that she wished to make it memorable and therefore had to go with it.
The singer also mentioned how she did not want any kind of spousal support and hoped Ben would respect her wishes and avoid asking the same from her.
The star also requested the judge to change her legal name from Jennifer Lynn Affleck to Jennifer Lynn Lopez after taking on the star’s last name when they got married in July of 2022.
She previously spoke about becoming Mrs. Affleck and referred to the gesture as romantic and very traditional. People still hope to call her Jennifer Lopez and some were amazed that she made this request to the judge because they had no clue that she ever took on the Mrs. Affleck name, let alone the role.
