Bethenny Frankel took a swipe at Taylor Swift after the singer’s reaction to last Sunday’s football match in Kansas City went viral.
During the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears at the Kansas City stadium, the Bad Blood hitmaker was pictured cheering and screaming her lungs out in the audience as her new flame Travis Kelce played for his team.
The singer was also pictured bonding with Kelce’s mother, Donna, in the footballer’s suite while greeting other attendees.
While Taylor’s ecstatic reactions quickly swept over the internet, not everyone was impressed by the way the singer was acting around her new crush.
“She was really, really over the top as a fan and chumming with the mom,” 52-year-old TV personality and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel said in a viral video.
“And it felt like the Chia Pet of relationships, like, just add water. Like, they were together for 10 years. Like, she’s a full football wife.”
Infuriating Swifties who are overjoyed by the singer’s new romance, Frankel continued: “She literally looked like she had been in a serious relationship with this guy for decades and I think a couple months ago we saw her on her tour with another guy [Matty Healy]. She was dating another guy.”
Referring to the time Taylor bought a multi-million beach house next to her then-boyfriend Conor Kennedy in 2012, Frankel suggested the singer gets obsessed with her partners and “buys houses near guys she dates.”
Sharing a warning with the singer, the reality star went on to say that impressing people in the football industry is different from making a name in the music scene.
“People in their own spaces are wary of newcomers. Like, it took a long time for Gisele [Bündchen] to be a football wife [to Tom Brady],” she added.
“Football fans are very tricky. They like loyalists, like, ride or die. They’re not interested in people coming in for a short ride.”
Concluding her speech, Frankel urged the young singer to stay true to herself and protect her own identity.
“You don’t want to absorb your whole life into someone else’s even though it’s fun. You’ve got to keep your two feet on the ground and be your own person and nobody needs to save you. And no other person should be your identity,” she explained.
