The Golden Girls star Betty White will celebrate her 100th birthday by having the occasion filmed for a documentary titled ‘Betty White: 100 Years Young – A Birthday Celebration’.
The documentary will detail not only her everyday life but also some of her historic milestones.
Betty, who lives in the California town of Carmel-By-The-Sea, has spent more than eighty years in television and has been on many hit shows including the Mary Tyler Moore Show.
“Who doesn’t love a party?!” This is gonna be GREAT!” Betty gushed to CNN before the release of her newest project.
The documentary will also show the TV legend in various work environments, including shoots and her animal rights activism.
Many superstars from the Hollywood of yesteryear will also appear in the movie including Clint Eastwood and Robert Redford.
Tina Fey, who played off Betty when the actress hosted Saturday Night Live in 2010, will also be involved.
Betty’s fellow comedy star Carol Burnett and small screen funnymen Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson and more will also participate.
Valerie Bertinelli, Wendy Malick, and Jennifer Hewitt, whom the TV legend acted with on the sitcom Hot In Cleveland will also appear in the documentary.
Betty starred on The Golden Girls from 1985 to 1992 as Rose Nylund. She was one of the main casts along with Estelle Getty, Bea Arthur, and Rue McClanahan.
But the popular show ended when Bea didn’t want to do it anymore, so Betty joined Estelle and Rue in another sequel series The Golden Palace, which lasted one season in 1993.
According to Deadline, Hulu will start streaming The Golden Palace one week after Betty turns 100 on January 17.
