It’s been just one day since the American nation is reeling from former President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt that took place at a rally in Pennsylvania.
This led to President Biden rolling out an immediate message to the country related to the act of terrorism that he says has no space on American soil.
Many were stunned to see how a young gunman was able to reach the top of a building and shoot bullets at Trump, injuring him and leaving another dead.
Biden was quick to mention in his urgent address how there is no room for violence in the world of politics and how the nation needed to calm down as this was unacceptable.
He also hoped people would consider politics as politics and refrain from getting personal and playing the blame game.
‘Calm down everyone, we need to relax. This is getting out of hand and all such criminal behavior has to be condemned- the country’s head of state mentioned.
Biden added that he may be in disagreement with Trump on a series of issues but that does not mean he considers him an enemy.
‘We’re neighbors, friends, and co-workers. Above all, we are citizens of the United States of America’- he added in the end.
