Young and renowned climate activist Greta Thunberg is slamming US President Joe Biden, voicing her concerns on how strange it is for him to be a leader in climate change.

Thunberg blasted the President’s efforts for climate change while sitting down for a recent Washington Post interview that was published on Monday.

The climate change activist repeated several times how it was beyond bizarre to see the President as someone who wanted to improve the environment, especially after seeing the recent decisions taken by his own administration.

“Just look at what his administration is doing and you’ll understand exactly what I mean,” she revealed.

Thunberg alleges that President Biden and his administration appear to be doing more harm than any good for the environment as a whole, adding how he was in no shape or form to improve it. Instead, she accused him of harming or hurting the environment and falling short of all the big and leading promises he made at the summit.

In the same way, Thunberg questioned why the US was actually taking this time to expand its fossil fuel infrastructure. And that angered the young activist who questioned their motive behind the decision.

“Someone needs to ask why on earth is the US is doing that,” she added.

The news comes as President Biden has reportedly set out to reach a target of 100% clean electricity by the year 2035. In the same way, he has also vowed to meet his goal of net-zero emissions by the year 2050.

“The Biden administration needs to think twice about what they are really doing and what they really want to achieve. Their actions at the moment are worsening the climate crisis, despite making a big promise to combat climate change,” she boldly claimed.
