The deadly fungus strain is known to colonize the patient’s skin and gain entry into their bloodstream through the likes of open wounds. And once that happens, it can affect their body’s systems.
Doctors revealed how the mortality rate for the condition can increase by 30 to 60% after this takes place, making it an alarming situation.
