Selena Gomez ended up confessing that she blacked out during her audition for a role in the Oscar-tipped operatic musical Emilia Perez.
The 32-year-old star and American actress attended the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles and appeared so stunning in a black-toned Ellie Saab off-the-shoulder number.
The role was such that many are not used to seeing the celeb in this avatar so others referred to it as a shocking scare. The star was joined by a few other co-stars like Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofia Gascon, and Adriana Paz. She is played the role of a high-powered lawyer to assist fake her death and undergo a gender reassessment surgery.
Gomez did admit that this was one of the craziest roles for her. She went for it this time. There were moments when she was standing on furniture and ended up getting blacked out. She was singing her heart out and dancing like a mad woman. She was drunk and had a crazy experience.
She felt honored and opted to go ultimately with the role. But it’s one that fans are in for a special treat. They’re used to seeing the star really glam up but in this case, it’s the opposite.
