A Boeing passenger plane carrying 389 people on board burst into flames, just a few seconds after it took off.
Terrifying footage captured revealed how the aircraft managed to gain a little bit of altitude before light flashes were seen from the plane’s right engine.
The flashes were also seen reaching the tail of the aircraft as it started to become engulfed in flames, which is said to have arisen due to a small explosion.
Sources revealed how the incident took place just 30 minutes after departure as the plane was making its way out of Toronto’s Pearson Airport during the later hours of the night as it headed to Paris, France.
Witnesses on the ground spoke about how horrified they became to see the plane’s situation while one of those individuals was heard screaming out loud and mentioning, ‘Holy Crap! The engine is on fire!’
As reported by The Sun, the number of incidents involving Boeing passenger planes is increasing by the day and people are fearful to travel on the once popular and famous model type.
Thankfully, none of the 389 passengers and crew members aboard this flight were injured and the jet managed to land safely, thanks to the brave decision of the pilot who turned around just in time.
