Inside sources claim Will Smith’s bosses are having trouble deciding the star’s fate after his recent dramatic outburst at the Oscars.
According to local media reports, the CAA or Creative Artists Agency is having trouble deciding what to do next after he slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage for making fun of his wife.
The incident was immediately called out and condemned by many who felt the star should have never resorted to violence to get his point across.
Hence, the leading heads of the agency are currently having an internal debate on what they should be doing now.
CAA is known to represent a number of different stars from Hollywood and that’s why Chiefs Bryan Lourd, Kevin Huvane, and Richard Lovett are taking their time in deciding the final outcome of the matter.
A recent report from Daily Beast spoke about how the agency was in a huge dilemma about what to do next and hence a furious argument broke out among the agency’s chiefs about whether or not the actor should be dropped.
Other reports shed light on how there was a leadership retreat surrounding the incident at the agency as hundreds gathered at the private property since the pandemic.
As it is, the agency has been surrounded with great negativity ever since the disgraceful Harvey Epstein case emerged in public. The agency had a close affiliation with the producer and now they’re making sure they distance themselves from everything and anything that’s negative.
Lourd is said to have voted to remove Will Smith from the agency’s roster, following the incident and that just goes to show how serious they are on the matter.
Lourd also is believed to want to keep the actor on board but he does seem frazzled due to the unexpected scenario that literally sent shockwaves around the globe.
