Brad Pitt’s friends have broken their silence and slammed his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for alienating their kids from the Hollywood actor.
Earlier this week, an old Instagram rant by then-16-year-old Pax Jolie-Pitt began circulating the internet after being shared by DailyMail.com. In the 2020 Father’s Day post, the teenager called his adoptive father a “worldclass a**hole” and a “terrible human being” while accusing him of making his life a living hell.
While Brad Pitt has maintained his silence after the “depressing” post resurfaced, his friends spoke out and blamed Pax’s hate for his father on Angelina Jolie saying she turned their kids against him after their 2016 split.
“The publication of the Instagram is sad and frustrating because it does not make things any better. Even when what is said is bad for him, Brad would only ever respect the kids voices. He will never ever speak negatively about any of them and will almost never talk about them in public,” one source said.
The insider continued: “There is a feeling among their friends that the post is a perfect example of parental alienation – I mean this is a textbook demonstration of parental alienation.
“Brad’s team think she has been playing these games for years but they do not want to get drawn into battle with her. There have been years and years of her telling and retelling the same poisonous things about him and the reality is that she has alienated the kids, and the reality is that it is upsetting to Brad. He cares about all of them. It is devastating.”
While Brad’s close ones believe Angelina is the one to blame for the rift between the A-lister and his adopted children, Jolie’s side says otherwise.
“Brad Pitt has nobody to blame but himself. All Angelina wants is to heal their family and move on, but he won’t let her go,” a source close to the actress said.
