In case you may have missed it, King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla were reportedly attacked by a violent protester who chose to gather the couple’s attention by throwing eggs at them.
Unfortunately for the attacker, the couple was missed but a few eggs did up close to their bodies and that has now become the talk of the town.
Today, the King was seen speaking a few words in regard to the incident that had reportedly taken place during the early hours of yesterday. And one lip reader did shed light on what the King had mentioned after the whole egg fiasco.
In the footage, the King and the Queen consort can be seen shocked at what had taken place. It was just too sudden for anyone to understand what had just taken place and why it did.
A protester popped out of nowhere and suddenly pelted the egg, straight toward the king. And while we agree that it didn’t hit in the right spot, it was definitely a close call.
The Royal security team was baffled and they knew immediately that an imminent threat was there. So in the end, they whisked both the King and Queen Consort away. And the protester was arrested too.
At that time, the crowds were seen gathering in huge numbers. They were all located behind the barriers and there were lines going far out to meet the King. The couple was walking around York at that time and that’s when the egg-throwing man came forward and pelted it directly on them but missed by a few inches.
All that Charles said was, ‘it’s fine, let’s all carry on!”- and that just goes to show how unphased he happened to be about the entire ordeal.
Another officer asked Charles if he was ok and he didn’t respond to that as the alleged attacked was being escorted away by the cops at that time.
