King Charles has broken royal tradition this year by recording a Christmas Day message at a church instead of the usual royal estate.
The news comes as the reigning monarch battles cancer, sources shared.
Charles chose to film the annual address to the country at a hospital chapel after his cancer battle. Now, he’s scheduled to appear on television screens on Wednesday where he will deliver the speech at the famous Fitzrovia Chapel that’s present in London.
This was once reserved as a chapel for Middlesex Hospital.
This is the first time in nearly 14 years that we saw the King’s speech being filmed at a location other than the classic royal estate.
The chapel is said to represent the healthcare and community that the King will discuss during the speech as confirmed by reports from The Telegraph.
The newspaper also shared how the focus of the message will mostly be linked to the great work of the healthcare profession in a year when he and his daughter-in-law were both diagnosed with cancer.
He will also share the great value and respect that he has for the entire healthcare community while praising the nation for coming together after the stabbings seen in Southport.
