Britney Spears’ ex-husband was tackled to the ground by security after crashing his former lover’s wedding to Sam Asghari.
According to the reports, 40-year-old Jason Alexander, who was married to the pop singer for less than three days back in 2004, infiltrated her property in Thousand Oaks, California, with the intention of interrupting her wedding.
The incident took place on June 9 and began as Alexander approached the singer’s home and scaled the fence while livestreaming himself.
After getting over the fence, the man stormed the wedding venue and got tackled to the ground by security.
While ruining his ex’s special day, Alexander told the guards that he was “invited” to the wedding before bragging by saying he was there to “crash the wedding.”
He allegedly also insisted that Britney was his “first and only wife.”
According to the reports, the Ventura County Sheriff was contacted after the 40-year-old managed to slip inside the venue tent and after he got arrested by Britney’s security.
It has since also come to light that the ceremony itself was not interrupted, whereas Alexander stormed the property while preparations were still underway.
Following the incident, Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, spoke out and revealed they “will seek to ensure that Mr. Alexander is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
“Jason Alexander has been handcuffed, taken into custody and arrested. I express my thanks to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response and good work,” he said.
“And we will seek to ensure that Mr. Alexander is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
