The President of El Salvador gave the most brutal response after he was asked if his nation had any plans to return the father, who was mistakenly deported from America, to the world’s worst prison in the country.
Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, who hails from Maryland, was sent to the Center for Terrorism Confinement in El Salvador last month in the wake of Trump’s mass deportation.
While it is true that Garcia did enter the nation illegally in 2011, the judge shared how he had previously decided in 2019 that he shouldn’t be deported because he was getting threats from a gang in his native country.
When it emerged that Garcia was deported, the Supreme Court shared how Trump’s administration needed to facilitate Garcia’s return, but during the meeting between Trump and El Salvador’s president, the leaders were very clear about how it would be up to El Salvador to return him.
During that meeting at the Oval Office, the reporter from CNN asked the president what his plans were on the matter and return to America.
However, he refused to even entertain such ideas of Garcia’s return. He mentioned, ‘I hope you are not suggesting that I smuggle a terrorist into the US. How can I smuggle a terrorist into the US? Of course, I am not going to do it. The question is ridiculous!’- he continued.
