A loving great-grandmother has reportedly passed away after being mauled to death by two giant American bulldogs.

Sources revealed how the dogs belonged to the neighbors and they had managed to escape their home and enter hers through a hold in the fence.

The 85-year-old was mauled to death by two giant American bulldogs that took her by surprise. She was not expecting them. This particular incident took place in Birmingham and an inquest heard more details that left her family members horrified.

The loving elderly citizen died from traumatic injuries that arose due to the dog bite. The attack was sustained and went on for a while, leaving her helpless.

Lucille Downer enjoyed her time in the backyard of her home which is located on Boundary Avenue near Birmingham. But little did she know that in the end, she would be forced to deal with this ordeal that would take her life in the end.

The sudden escape of the dogs from the home took her by surprise and the dogs just pounced on her, causing injury and resulting in death, the cops have confirmed.

The police have announced that they arrested the suspect who is responsible for the uncontrollable dogs. They are guilty of causing injury that led to the death of an innocent elderly woman.

He was identified as 44-year-old Darren Pritchard who was also held guilty of possessing cannabis and the intention of supplying it too. Now, he has been booked for his court appearance will reportedly take place on Tuesday at the Dudley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Ms. Downer’s family previously mentioned in a statement that they were going to miss her dearly.

Now, it has been confirmed how the dogs were humanely destroyed after the incident.
