Skeptical and scared locals from Los Angeles were seen learning about their future after a recent update spoke about how they were now free and safe to return to their homes to inspect the damage.
This was after the city’s worst fires in history took center stage. Officials declared how they would start reopening five-ravaged neighborhoods to residents starting Thursday.
This news comes after a red flag was raised in terms of weather warnings that gripple LA for the upcoming 72 hours.
It also arrives at a time when we’re hearing more about how burglars dressed up as firefighters are among those arrested as lawlessness in LA keeps spiraling during crucial points of time like a curfew and also during mandatory orders for evacuation.
Looting is also on the rise as flames were seen destroying homes across the city. As per the Sheriff’s office, burglars are dressing up as firefighters linked to a fire station.
But when a cross-check was made with the actual fire department, it was shared that this was indeed a scam to loot residents during troubling times.
So far, 29 people have been arrested in these types of scam-related incidents while others are being investigated for suspicious activity including starting infernos.
Meanwhile, leading American firm Edison International is being questioned about a possible relation to the wildfires that have put the state at a standstill.
