A seven-year-old girl was reportedly killed after disaster struck at a beach in Florida today.
According to reports from local media outlets, the child was playing in the sand, making sand holes and castles. But little did she realize that they would lead to her tragic death in the end.
She was busy digging and playing but then got trapped inside a giant sand hole that she created after it collapsed over her. She was said to be buried alive for 20 minutes and by the time help arrived, she was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as seven-year-old Sloan Mattingly who was dragged out of the sand after being buried for a whopping 20 minutes after the entire sandhole collapsed over the siblings. This is per reports confirmed by officials.
Meanwhile, her brother Maddox was said to be rescued from the giant hole at the Lauderdale by the sea beach. He was rushed by a team of paramedics to a nearby hospital where he was administered immediate medical aid and said to be stable.
