A 24-year-old bus driver is shedding light upon some of the rudest comments she’s ever received as a bus driver from her passengers.
Jodie Leigh Fox from Brentwood in the United Kingdom says she’s been driving a bus for the past 5 years and she’s met people from all walks of life as her passengers. And that includes some drunk individuals who make sure they leave their mark with some of the nastiest comments of them all.
“People think being a bus driver is so easy but there is so much to think about when you’re driving a bus, after all, you have so many people’s lives in your hands,” she went on to explain.
The 24-year-old did add how driving a bus isn’t much more complicated than driving a normal car but she admits how you’ve got to be so much more careful, keeping in mind the length and weight of the giant vehicle.
“You’ve got the huge responsibility of passengers as a weight on your shoulders,” she began to explain.
From carrying out daily checks and more, the young driver also revealed how many become startled after seeing her appearance and realizing that she’s the one who is going to be behind the wheel.
“The hardest part for me is trying to make it work when you’re under so much pressure. You’re running around such a tight schedule and you’re surrounded by so much traffic too,” she explained.
Most of her rude customers are mean to her because she’s a female, she added. “I’ve had some of the most inappropriate comments like how I wear too much makeup or I have too much lip filler going on. Some even judge me and think I’m too fat,” the 24-year bus driver explained.
But with the bad comes the good. Some passengers are nice enough to compliment her and leave her gifts as a small token of appreciation for letting them arrive at their destination safely and on a timely basis.
