A bus driver who was reportedly fired for being too short to do her duty has lost her appeal regarding her dismissal.
The 5-foot tall bus driver was dismissed by her workplace because they stated she was too short in height to use the vehicle’s wing mirrors in a safe manner.
The news came as the Go North West altered the position of their wing mirrors on the buses and that indirectly meant that she just couldn’t lean around one pillar to view them. Moreover, that also meant she would not be able to keep her feet up on the pedals.
The widow driver who was identified as Tracey Scholes made heads turn when she opted to appeal against the decision that she felt was totally unfair, considering the fact that she had 34 years of experience.
News reports suggested that the company did try to compensate for the matter by offering her another position in the organization that had lesser pay and lesser working hours but that didn’t appeal to the 57-year-old who hoped to land a breakthrough victory in the court of law.
After turning down the organization’s offer, Tracey hoped to get a fair decision but it has now ended in utter disappointment for her.
Meanwhile, her organization has replied with how they have tried to give her numerous offers in the company that would enable her to continue working for them but she rejected each one.
A string of celebs also supported the bus driver and consulted her to appeal the decision but little did she or they know that it would all be in vain.
Recent reports have gone on to reveal how the 57-year-old is hopeful to make another appeal against the decision so she can keep her current hours.
