A terrifying tragedy has taken place in Italy where a loving mother has reportedly been killed in a horrifying cable car accident.
According to reports from local media outlets, the mother had plunged a massive 500 feet to her death from the cable car after being dragged away by the mountain lift system.
The incident arose right in front of her horrified family and featured young kids watching her die before their eyes.
The woman who was identified as Margherita Lega was reportedly hiking with her partner and two young kids when all of a sudden, the tragedy ensued.
They happened to be making the most of spending quality time with each other at the Italian Alps when the horror arose at 11 am today.
The 41-year-old was reportedly busy loading luggage onto the Teleferica machine which is another name used for a small cable car that can transfer luggage and other things instead of people.
Meanwhile, her attire was snagged away by the contraption and suddenly turned on, leading to the terrifying aftermath.
The local police and paramedics rushed to the scene to try and rescue the mother but it was too late. Her fall was from the most deadly of heights and her body couldn’t withstand the pressure.
