BREAKING: ‘Caddyshack’ Star Cindy Morgan Has Passed Away


Caddyshack and Tron star Cindy Morgan has passed away at the age of 69.

The American actress, who was best known for her roles in the 1980s film hits, died sometime before her body was discovered on December 30, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TMZ.

It has since also been confirmed that Morgan died of natural causes.

While the time of her death remains a mystery, sources suggested that the actress may have been found days prior to her body’s discovery on December 30.

The sheriff’s office added that Morgan was found when her roommate called for help after returning from a holiday trip. The roommate allegedly made a report after noting a strong odor coming from the actress’s room.

After the police arrived at the scene, the 69-year-old was found lifeless in her room.

While the death remains under investigation, foul play is currently not suspected.

Previously, in 2012, Morgan spoke out about her rise to fame thanks to her role on Caddyshack alongside Bill Murray and Chevy Chase.

Recalling the audition for the film, she said: “Caddyshack was my first film and I’ll say that the end product was so completely different, it was originally about the caddies.

“So at first, I had nothing to lose to audition. It was fun. All I did was focus on making the person sweat. Look ’em in the eye, do that thing many women know how to…”

Among other major appearances, Morgan also starred in the likes of sci-fi classic Tron, CHiPs, Amazing Stories, The Fall Guy, The Love Boat, Vegas and Matlock, The Larry Sanders Show, and Falcon Crest.
