A cafe owner based in Australia is leaving netizens divided after he chose to kick out an entire family featuring a toddler.
According to reports from local media outlets, the family says their child was making a little more noise than usual but the response they received from the restaurant’s owner has left them in a state of shock.
The owner spoke about how his cafe was one for gelato and not a diner for kids. While all customers were welcomed, he said that the family he requested to leave had a toddler with them who kept on arguing and screaming.
This led him to the drastic move to have them exit but he was not aware that they would end up causing such a commotion online.
He argued how his ice cream spot was designed for those who wished to have a great time. And that meant enjoying ice cream in some peace.
Seeing how the family couldn’t even handle their kid, yet chose to bring him in public, just left him baffled.
Adelle’s Cafe is located on Magnetic Island and is known to be popular among tourists and locals. Seeing how the owner has behaved with the family, many netizens are calling for a boycott as customers deserve some respect, at the end of the day.
Netizens were quick to comment on the debate and how the owner could have handled the matter in a more civilized way.
The mother did apologize to the owner about her kids creating a commotion but she’s just so baffled and upset at how they were treated and vow to never return.
