Traveling on long flights is never easy and that’s especially true when you’re surrounded by unruly passengers.
One man is shedding light on his recent flight where an elderly couple demanded he give them the window seat to enjoy. However, he refused to entertain that request. And now, he’s being called out as rude by many.
The man says his flight was a whopping 12 hours long and there was little to no chance of him being nice because he was in no mood of doing just that.
“For who should I swap seats for? I don’t know them! I paid for my upgrade and if someone thinks I would give that out for free is insane!”- the passenger went on to explain.
He further mentioned how nothing in life comes free so it’s best they would think twice before booking tickets.
The man shared his travel journey with others on the viral online platform Reddit. He wished to see what others thought of the ordeal and how many people actually agreed with him and how many felt he was in the wrong.
In general, people felt that being nice to the elderly is always recommended as it can come back to you in some of the most unexpected of ways. But others did not agree.
The moment that the man explained how the couple wished to have more legroom and hence wanted his seat, that had people flinching.
They found that to be utterly selfish and disrespectful. “You were right not to get up from there!”- one netizen argued and others agreed.
“Please do not ruin your journey for the sake of others”- mentioned one person and people couldn’t agree even more.
