Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has resigned from office after a public outcry inside his country over the debate of liberal politics.
Trudeau announced 10:45 am EST where he shared his thoughts on leaving the position of being a Liberal Party Leader.
The official shared more about Trudeau’s plans in the past and this news was something that Canada was expecting for a few days now.
Many were unhappy with his leadership and questioned the abrupt departure of the country’s finance minister as turmoil continued to grow inside his government.
The official shared more on the matter including how Trudeau continues to be the PM until the new leader of the Liberal Party is selected.
Meanwhile, one senior member of the government shared with AFP sources how the deal about him leaving was done and the question remained how it would be carried out.
The announcement was scheduled to come before he met with Liberal caucus to stop appearing like he was forced out by that party.
The PM came to the conclusion that his party is no longer backing him and therefore there’s no reason or path for him to continue his leading position.
