Princess Kate left the world heartbroken when she made a shocking cancer diagnosis announcement through a video statement recently.
Since then, royal fans have been worried about what’s next for the future queen as she musters the strength to begin her preventive chemotherapy regime.
Kate Middleton is currently healing from a major abdominal surgery whose details are still a mystery. However after the surgical procedure was declared successful, doctors were able to find cancer cells and that plunged the entire royal family into a state of shock.
Her medical team has advised her to prevent chemo and she is said to be during the early stages of that treatment which reportedly began late last month.
Kate is said to be doing alright and is on the pathway to recovery. But no other details were provided on that front to the public who still wonder what’s next.
Chemo makes use of a powerful cocktail of medications and directly attacks cancer cells or shrinks the tumor so that surgery done later on can remove the cells altogether. But in the Princess of Wales’ case, it’s the best option for prevention to try and prevent the cancer from returning.
However, side-effects that she will be facing include fatigue, skin bruising, and hair loss as the drugs target both cancerous and non-cancerous dividing cells like those of the regular body tissues.
