A man who has an account on Instagram named “Raw Meat Experiment” has started a very unusual experiment to see if he could survive while only eating raw meat. He details his joyful quest of “eating raw meat at Whole Foods every day until I die from bacteria”.

On his Instagram posts, a man is eating nothing but raw meat for 78 days in a bizarre experiment to see if he lives, dies, or contracts a grisly disease – but so far, he says he’s never felt better.

He previously ate a plant-based diet but claimed to suffer from issues because of it. That’s the time when he changes things up and trains his stomach to digest nothing but uncooked meat, including organs and he washes it down with raw animal milk and raw eggs.

His Instagram page @therawmeatexperiment has 63.6k followers, and the bio reads: “Eating raw meat at Wholefoods every day until I die from bacteria Seeing if I Live for 5 days or 500 years.”

His caveman style of diet has also seen him tuck into cow liver and camel milk and tearing into a steak with his teeth. He explained: “No chewing involved, you can basically just place the cow flesh in your mouth and swallow it. Pretty tasty, half the cost of a steak, will probably be a weekly meal along with cod.”

When he was asked by the followers how he is feeling, he confirmed: “Good, I like it so far and feel no reason to stop, no crazy changes either way though.”

On his 40th birthday, he revealed he was able to eat 0.45kl of mince in just five minutes, one of his favorite fresh meat foods. While on his 45th day, he ate raw bacon, which one of his followers said looked like a skinned foot. He added that “Cooked meat tastes a bit better” though the raw stuff was “growing on him”.

On day 69, the man updated followers that he hadn’t “been sick or physically removed from Whole Foods” yet, and on day 70 noted that camel’s milk was “splendid” and while not “the most flavorful”, was “the funniest”.

According to him, he goes to his local supermarket in California to pick out a slice of meat to eat and it’s the entire piece of whatever raw meat he’s having there and then.

His latest video shows that he’s reached day 76 of his experiment. In the video, the guy can be seen eating a brick of shredded cow and milk of the sheep. He said: “A brick of shredded cow and milk of the sheep. Ground beef has become my favorite meal.”

He continued: “Due to the low cost, ease of consuming a pound in like 4 minutes, gathering 800 calories of absorbable cow and digesting perfectly. If I went to chipotle, a burrito maybe 1000 calories but the meat is cooked till there is no nutrition left, and 90% of it is plants that you can’t really digest.”

“I’d be paying $13 for a day of shedding and farding which is fun but not as efficient. It’s clearly the wrong fuel for humans even tho burritos and hot sauce are my favorite foods,” he added.

For those people who are concerned about how limited his diet is, he has explained he does occasionally eat potatoes, rice, and cooked chicken. He also claimed that his pain has gone away since embarking on his new carnivorous diet.

But doctors generally warn that eating a lot of raw meat is dangerous if you can’t be sure of the quality and what bacteria might be lurking beneath.
