The 60-year-old has managed to make the blacklist that features 99 other names as the country retaliates against the major sanctions that were put in place by Canada. In case you didn’t know, Carrey is a Canadian-American as he hails partly from Canada too.

While the actor is not the first name that would come to mind in terms of big celebs who raise their voices against the oppression taking place in Ukraine due to the ongoing Russian invasion, it’s clear that he has done something to really upset the Russians

Insider reports suggested how Carrey became a major target when Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau announced that the nation would be putting $500 million into additional military resistance for Ukraine.

Similarly, it would be introducing sanctions against 23 members of the Russian justice and security sectors.

Right after Justin Trudeau’s statement, Russia’s Foreign Ministry mentioned in a statement that stated how 100 Canadians wouldn’t be allowed to enter the country and Carrey was one of those.

Other than this famous comedian, other names on the list included the likes of various officials, public figures, business leaders, and people having mega-media and financial structures that directly had to do with the formation of an aggressive anti-Russian course.

A few authors and historians are also a part of the black list but we feel that it might not be affecting the likes of Jim Carrey because going to a nation that supports war isn’t anyone’s cup of tea, we believe.
