According to initial reports, the fighter jet rolled off the ship and fell into the Red Sea, sinking below. Thankfully, the pilot and driver remained safe and managed to escape alive, despite falling overboard.

However, new reports are speaking about how the plane actually fell due to the ship making a sharp turn to narrowly miss an attack by Houthis in the Red Sea.

The plane was identified as the US Navy F/A- 18E Super Hornet fighter plane that slipped off an aircraft carrier and sank into the Red Sea as the ship was making a hard turn, possibly to avoid fire from Houthi forces.

The $56 million war plane was lost, but many claim the fact that the pilot made it out alive is nothing else than a miracle.

The jet was being towed out of a hangar on Monday on the USS Harry S. Truman when the carrier suddenly shifted, and the tractor pulling it lost complete control, sending both the plane and the vehicle overboard.
