Former First Lady Melania Trump broke her silence for the first time on Sunday after the assassination attempt against her partner Donald Trump.
Melania says the incident has led to a devastating impact and a necessity for change that nobody saw coming.
Trump was close to death while addressing a political rally in Pennsylvania when a young gunman present on top of a tall building fired gunshots into the air, one hitting the president’s ear but thankfully not killing him.
While the gunman was shot later on, it’s baffling to know that something like this had taken place and Melania says there is no place for this kind of violence.
‘A monster tried to attack my husband. He is not an inhuman political machine. How was he supposed to survive that attack? He’s lucky to be alive today, she added, mentioning how political games are inferior to love.
When she watched that violent bullet strike, Melania says she realized that she and Barron Trump’s life were on the verge of a major change. But she’s so grateful that the Secret Service acted in time and shot the shooter or else it could have been bad.
