The New York Police Department has reportedly confirmed the presence of bullets flying through a subway station in the Bronx.
The shocking news report comes just one week before a man was seen opening fire on an entire subway in Brooklyn, leaving dozens injured.
While no one was reported as injured in today’s horrifying incident, officials have reportedly beefed up security as this is the second type of terrifying incident to occur in less than a week.
Sources revealed how the incident took place when bullets were fired in the West 183rd Street Station. This was at about 2 am, as mentioned by the Police.
At the moment, investigations into the horrifying incident are taking place as authorities try to determine whether or not shots were fired aboard the train or not.
Other reports spoke about how 3 shell casings were recovered from the site near the northbound 4 train’s platform, as confirmed by the New York Police Department.
Cops also went on to elaborate how a suspicious young man in his 20s was wearing a black-toned backpack and was taken into custody. He was reportedly accompanied by another individual wearing a green-toned jacket. Both are believed to be linked to the incident.
The incident that took place on Tuesday was a striking reminder to so many that New York’s crime rates continue to surge.
Cops arrested the alleged gunman from Tuesday’s attack, who was identified as Frank James. He set off a number of smoke bombs before he sprayed bullets in all directions with his gun while aboard the N Train in Sunset Park.
This led to absolute chaos and panic in the area and its surroundings as subway riders made a run for it, fearing for their lives.
62-year-old James was caught by authorities after a citywide hunt was conducted. He is not being held without bail on charges related to terrorism.
