King Charles III was recently seen getting all emotional during his first Remembrance Ceremony as the country’s monarch.
Charles reportedly broke down into tears during the act of laying down a wreath, clearly showing how much he misses his mother, the late Queen.
According to local media outlets, his mother really valued this service and deemed it to be one of her most valued and important duties.
This particular ceremony was very poignant for the entire Royal Family. And this is the first event since the death of Queen Elizabeth, who valued Remembrance Day as one of her most important duties.
Charles was seen laying down a new poppy wreath and it incorporated the ribbon of his racing hues with the design featuring a tribute to the ones used by both the late Queen and his grandfather George VI.
He was then forced to keep himself composed before he put down his wreath. He was leading the ceremony for the first time as Monarch, and that’s what prompted some royal watchers to take to Twitter and described himself as being emotional.
It was also very interesting for so many people to see how Big Ben chimed 11 times at 11 am, as it returned to service after so many years of maintenance and repair.
Moreover, today also marks the 4oth anniversary of the war in the Falklands and that’s where around 255 British personnel lost their lives.
Crowds were seen lining up the streets of London with so many war veterans including Chelsea Pensioners preparing to take part in a particular march.
Meanwhile, just as the two minutes of prayers and reflection ended, there was an emotional tribute to all the people killed during the battles of the last century. This is where members of the military played the Last Post.
