Singing icon Cher is being slammed again after performing live at the Strictly Come Dancing show.
The music legend was seen putting her latest Christmas track on display, perfect for this time of year. But many fans were left far from impressed after witnessing her perform live.
The star was again accused of miming lyrics, just weeks after the same accusations involved the star in the past.
Many found it hard to relate to how a singer of her caliber found it right to take part in the act. But others came to the superstar’s rescue and added how it was perfectly normal and that they needed to relax as everyone was doing it, not just her.
The last time this took place was at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in New York. It was held as per usual schedule in Manhattan and is called out to be a seasonal extravaganza.
Hence, to see Cher called out on two separate but serious holiday engagements had fans wondering if this behavior was right and if that was the manner in which many had hoped to see the superstar.
The blonde singer who is still dating her much younger lover added people are getting too critical of every little thing.
Her reps gave some examples of the industry that continuously sees big names coming on stage and doing what they do best and in case you have not guessed it by now, it involves mimicking as that not only saves time but also ensures fans don’t feel left out in case the star has forgotten the lyrics themselves.
The reason why it’s being called out as a big deal has to do with the fact that rarely, if ever, would you find someone of this stature and fame to go ahead with the mimicking behavior.
‘Even the best have their not-so-great days. Hence it all depends on the time and place and if the singer feels like they can pull off an actual live show or if using a recorded option is better. What do you think?
