Chris Rock’s brother has challenged Hollywood legend Will Smith to a fight in the ring.
During the 94th Academy Awards, the King Richard star sparked outrage after storming the stage and slapping presenter Chris Rock in the face over his joke about Jada Pinkett’s baldness.
Now, Rock’s younger brother, 42-year-old Kenny, has spoken out and challenged Smith to a boxing bout to settle the score.
As Kenny told TMZ, a contract for the potential boxing match is already in place, whereas all that Smith needs to do is accept the challenge.
The open contract, which has already been signed by Kenny, calls for a fight between him and the A-list actor at Florida’s Charles F. Dodge City Center on June 11.
Appearing alongside boxing promoter Damon Feldman, Kenny also told the publication that his older brother is doing “great” following the incident at the Oscars.
“I should get in the ring with Will Smith. I could take him down … I’ll let the hands do the talking,” Kenny insisted.
He also opened up about Smith’s 10-year ban from the Oscars and said: “We have to see if he’s actually gonna get the 10-year ban. After three years, they might think we’ll forget about it and then slot him in.
“We have to make sure that these people do what they say they’re gonna do.”
Kenny’s comments come shortly after his brother Tony spoke to Los Angeles Times and revealed it was painful for him to see Chris get “belittled” on the stage.
“It eats at me watching it over and over again, because you’ve seen a loved one being attacked and there’s nothing you can do about it. Every time I’m watching the videos, it’s like a rendition that just keeps going over and over in my head,” Tony said earlier this month.
“My brother was no threat to him and you just had no respect for him at that moment. You just belittled him in front of millions of people that watch the show.”
