The head of Audi Italy has passed away after plunging to his death.
According to tragic reports from local media outlets, he died after falling 700 feet from a mountain while climbing the Alps alone.
Fabrizio Longo was the director for Audi Italia and happened to be hiking at the Cima Payer in the Admello mountain on Saturday when he fell.
The 62-year-old was known for his expertise at climbing and was said to be equipped with steel cables, ladders, and a lot of other aids when he went along his route.
This is why the news is just so shocking to so many people. A helicopter team was able to locate his body roughly 700 feet inside a gorge after a fellow climber saw him falling and called the emergency services for assistance quickly.
The Prosector’s Office is now going to investigate the death of loved ones and prepare to say their final goodbyes and pay their respects at his funeral.
While his body is yet to be released to loved ones, sources claim that he was one of the most loving and helpful individuals out there. He started his career in the world of automobiles in 1987 and then performed various prominent roles.
Then in 2013, he was given his leading position. For a long time, he promoted all kinds of initiatives linked to his region including the mountain-filled region of the Dolomites. He also worked to better the Audi brand by linking it to the mountainous ranges throughout his career.
