A plane crashed on Wednesday, moments after it took off from Nepal’s capital Kathmandu’s airport.
The horrifying incident was captured on camera, where the plane can be seen moving in a tilted direction before hitting the ground and exploding into a giant fireball.
The incident killed 18 people on board with a long survivor who was the pilot. He was pulled out of the rubble on time in a very critical condition with his face disfigured due to the impact of the crash.
Police have confirmed that they managed to pull out all of the 18 bodies.
The pilot was said to have severe injuries to his eyes but he is now out of danger, a report that was confirmed by a doctor at the Kathmandu Medical College Hospital where the pilot is still being treated.
While Nepalese capital’s airport is deemed to be one of the most dangerous in the world, due to its location between the mountains, it’s not confirmed how and why this crash arose.
Sources revealed how the plane skid off the runway during takeoff and then slammed down into the ground, shortly afterward. The matter is still under investigation as rescuers were pictured scavenging through the wreckage.
