Star comedian and Emmy Award winner Louie Anderson has died at the age of 68.
The heartbreaking news was revealed this Friday morning where the star’s publicist claims he lost his battle against cancer, passing away in Las Vegas today.
The actor was suffering from blood cancer and for this reason, he had reportedly been admitted to a hospital this week so that he could receive adequate care and treatment for his large B cell lymphoma which is a dangerous type of cancer, revealed reports.
Anderson had reportedly been admitted at the hospital on numerous occasions in the past to receive his treatment but little did anyone know that he would pass away so soon from the deadly illness.
At the moment, there are no reports that mention when the celeb was actually diagnosed with his cancer and health struggles relating to it.
Glenn Schwartz who served as the star’s publicist for a long time was emotional as he was the first to break the news today to media outlets.
A recent statement was obtained by PA which mentioned how the iconic and star comedian passed away peacefully on Friday morning in Las Vegas at the age of 68. It also spoke about how he is survived by his two sisters named Lisa and Shanna Anderson.
The heartbreaking news came after his fellow friend and comedian-actor Pauly Shore mentioned yesterday how he was busy saying his goodbyes to Anderson.
The 53-year-old took to his account on Twitter to mention how he had just left the hospital where the comedian had been admitted and was surrounded by his loved ones.
“Attention comedians, I am saying this with a heavy heart that I just left the hospital where Louie Anderson was admitted and his loved ones were so kind enough to let me say my final goodbyes to him. He is still with all of us but please keep him in your prayers please,” he added.
