Ana Benevides was the loving and beautiful fan who tragically lost her life on Friday night while attending the much anticipated Taylor Swift Eras Tour Concert Show in Brazil.
The youngster passed away amid extreme forms of temperatures as it was difficult for many to breathe due to poor ventilation. Others were seen passing out due to dehydration, causing Swift to pause halfway and hand out water bottles as fans screamed for help.
But her father has finally opted to break his silence and speak on the devastating moment that has left the family shattered and in a state of mourning.
The dad mentioned how Ana was his only daughter and she was the happiest and smartest girl out there. He also spoke about how she was scheduled to graduate in psychology next year in April. And she was busy saving money for that.
“There are just no words left in me to speak about my pain. She left home so happy and about to fulfill her dream of seeing the singer perform live. But she came back dead”- he cried.
Weiny Machado mentioned how he wants an urgent investigation to take place into the conditions that led to his daughter’s tragic passing away.
“I want it to be confirmed whether or not people were prohibited from bringing in water bottles and if there was any kind of negligence in terms of providing the right type of assistance”- he went on to mention.
As mentioned by media outlet Page Six in the past, Benevides passed away before the singer even took the stage in Brazil amid the most heated conditions imaginable. And many of those who attended the show mentioned how it was just so unsafe to be there.
Reports from one Brazilian local newspaper said the victim first fainted while standing front row and then was resuscitated for nearly 40 minutes at the stadium. This was right before she suffered from another cardiac arrest while she was leaving the hospital.
